(a)
Show that 1x+1+23x+10\dfrac{1}{x + 1} + \dfrac{2}{3x + 10} can be written as 5x+123x2+13x+10\dfrac{5x + 12}{3x^{2} + 13x + 10}.

(b)
The diagram shows part of the curve y=5x+123x2+13x+10y = \dfrac{5x + 12}{3x^{2} + 13x + 10}, the line x=2x = 2 and a straight line of gradient 11. The curve intersects the yy-axis at the point PP. The line of gradient 11 passes through PP and intersects the xx-axis at the point QQ. Find the area of the shaded region, giving your answer in the form a+23ln(b3)a + \dfrac{2}{3}\ln(b\sqrt{3}), where aa and bb are constants.
