1.43 diagram
(a)(i)
A particle PP moves in a straight line such that its displacement, xx m, from a fixed point OO at time tt s is given by x=10sin2t5x = 10\sin 2t - 5. Find the speed of PP when t=πt = \pi.
[1]
(a)(ii)
Find the value of tt for which PP is first at rest.
[2]
(a)(iii)
Find the acceleration of PP when it is first at rest.

(b)(i)
The diagram shows the velocity–time graph for a particle QQ travelling in a straight line with velocity vv m s1^{-1} at time tt s. The particle accelerates at 3.53.5 m s2^{-2} for the first 1010 s of its motion and then travels at constant velocity, VV m s1^{-1}, for 1010 s. The particle then decelerates at a constant rate and comes to rest. The distance travelled during the interval 20t2520 \le t \le 25 is 112.5112.5 m. Find the value of VV.
